I feel like I’m picking up more symbols this season but

Alice’s speech to Luther, about the people he is working for using him, parallels so much to Jenny’s storyline, she’s so well integrated into the story. I like that over the series they both get a little older and a little wiser and we end with them eating ice cream together.

“The people around you are vampires. They’ll suck your veins dry, then crack your bones and lick out the marrow. You’ve done enough for them. Now step away from it. Find yourself a life worth living.”

OUTSTANDING LADIES OF TELEVISION ☆ ALICE MORGAN
“the mind is it’s own place, and in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven.” the universe isn’t evil, john. it’s just indifferent. that hasn’t changed. it can’t. but what i did for you proved something to me. something I hadn’t believed until that moment. it’s you who’s right. there is love in the world.

All the awards for Luther.

You don’t interact with the things we know in the way that we expect. Your presence, your actions, can only be inferred by a certain… absence.

SPOILER for series 2

At the beginning of Series 2 Alice and Luther are both trying to kill themselves… (probably multiple times for both, not just Alice).
