Alice’s speech to Luther, about the people he is working for using him, parallels so much to Jenny’s storyline, she’s so well integrated into the story. I like that over the series they both get a little older and a little wiser and we end with them eating ice cream together.
“It’s not my voice she wants to hear. She’s no different from the freaks that get off on these films. It’s not who I actually am that matters. It’s who they wish I was.”

“The people around you are vampires. They’ll suck your veins dry, then crack your bones and lick out the marrow. You’ve done enough for them. Now step away from it. Find yourself a life worth living.”
At the beginning of Series 2 Alice and Luther are both trying to kill themselves… (probably multiple times for both, not just Alice).

your clever eyes could easily disguise
some backwards purpose

![Luther: … But people slip up, it just happens, time and time again.
Alice: Well that’s just faulty logic postulated on a data collection. What if you only catch people who make mistakes? That would screw the figures, wouldn’t it?
Luther: [Ohhh] yes it would. But criminals aren’t as smart at they think they are.
Alice: Oh that must get monotonous, for someone as brilliant as you.](http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lpxvbpyHsq1qfwam5o1_500.png)
